Mileage test

The mileage test is to check the durability of retractable handle and wheel system on luggages and suitcases.

Depending on the size of luggage (travel size, business size, and briefcase) and the wheel system (2-wheel or 4-wheel), 10kg to 40 kg of weight is placed on the luggage for testing. Then, the machine is set up to run 4 km/h with the total distance as described as following:

  • 4 wheels – 6 hours for 24km
  • 2 wheels – 8 hours for 32km

For every 4km, the machine will be stopped for 5 minutes in order to check the condition of luggage components.
